Fitness Options has always been a company of firsts.
We were the first dedicated fitness equipment specialist retail store in England when we opened our doors to the public way back in 1990.
When we produced a full colour catalogue in 1995 we were the first fitness store do so and today it is looked upon as the industry standard.
We were the first superstore in the UK when we moved premises in 1998 to where we are now in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire. With over 20,000 sq ft of showroom we are without rivals and the largest fitness showroom in Europe. So if you want to see and try the equipment there is no better place.
We have an in-house CAD design system that we use for both consumer and commercial customers. This allows the customer to see what their gym will look like before they buy, again we were the first retailer to offer this service.
In 2006 we opened a 3500 sq ft fitness equipment showroom on our third floor dedicated to the commercial market. Here you will see cardiovascular machines and a full range of single station strength units and guess what, we are the first and only retailer to do so.
New for 2008 is the Fitness Options removal and storage service - yet another first - for customers who already have equipment, but need it moving to another room, moving up or downstairs, or moving house completely. We believe that all these firsts prove that Fitness Options is continually striving to make the very personal process of choosing fitness and gym equipment the most pleasant and hopefully the most exciting buying experience a customer can have.
In addition, Fitness Options offers unrivalled expert advice and service, something that seems to be sadly missing today. Our sales staff, who have been with us from the start, are not tele-sales people. They have years of experience so can guide you to your fitness goals. We have our own team of installers and engineers, one of the few retailers who still do so and don't totally rely on third party carriers or suppliers to deliver the equipment, as many of our competitors now do. You may also like to know that when you ring Fitness Options you'll speak directly to a person, no call centres, no voice mail and no 'press this button and wait 30 minutes'.
Many years ago Fitness Options recognized that some of our customers had raised concerns about the impact on the environment, and in response to those concerns we re-cycle all our packaging materials and office waste. Finally, Fitness Options has not stopped being the first. We have a number of innovative ideas that will come to fruition this year, so watch this space.
